Well that and the contemporary Adobe Digital Editions completely sucked as a software. I always felt that the decision Tor made to go DRM free was pushed along by Baen - which was nice. And Baen has always been smaller than some of the other publishers which might (but then again might not) have been able to push back a little against the big A. Sanderson might not have the literary chops of some authors, but his world-building is almost unparalleled, he knows how to tell a compelling story, and he's figured out a process and a rhythm that allows him to regularly produce new material (unless he unexpectedly dies or something, I don't have any doubts that Sanderson is going to eventually finish all the series that he's started).Īh, that makes sense. The Stormlight Archive (and the Cosmere as a whole) is probably my favorite running series right now. Only got through the first few Dune books before I got bored (that's another one I need to revisit someday).

Same with Harry Potter read the whole series, but it's 'just' seven books and even the long ones aren't particularly long. Read a bunch of Clancy stuff back in high school (everything up to about 2000), but the Jack Ryan series isn't all that long. I have not yet read Wheel of Time (first book didn't really hook me probably ought to revisit eventually) never got into Eddings.
